My story.

A serious road cycling accident in 2009 resulted in multiple injuries including traumatic brain injury (TBI). A wired jaw lead me to severe weight loss and a rebound to weight gain, gut/brain issues, a loss of muscle and strength. This led me on a search for knowledge and practices to heal my brain, body and spirit.

The road to recovery.

Healing began with a consistent routine of cardio, mobility and resistance training to gain muscle, move through the injuries and improve oxygen delivery to my brain.

I practiced Tai Chi for improving my memory and balance, adding Qigong as a practice for mindfulness and stress reduction.

The missing piece was determining the best nutrition for me to improve my gut microbiome and reduce inflammation.

It wasn’t a fast fix. Consistent and targeted changes to my workouts, sleep, supplementation, reduced stress, and nutrition resulted in amazing results for my body and brain. Unexpectedly, it showed a positive change in how I was aging.

My clients benefit from the same individualized programming resulting in healthy aging, less pain, faster recovery from illness/injury, greater overall fitness, improved cognition and energy. You can too!

Discovering a new path to health.

The desire to help others improve their health and fitness led me to specialized education in brain and body optimization.

Individualized nutrition, exercise/movement, and consistent lifestyle habits lead to feeling and looking our best. We also need community and purpose. Any transformation requires time and a plan.

My passion is to help you make those changes by learning new behaviors and ways of looking at food, exercise, supplementation and lifestyle habits that guide you to a healthier and happier version of yourself.

 

Our genetic profile is a small part of what determines our health and well-being.

The good news is you can take the reins into your hands and start traveling down a new road at any point in your life.
